February 27-28, 2015 - A workshop on HER2/neu in breast cancer.



1. May 18, 2015 - Inborn metabolic disorders requiring therapeutic dietary products: local initiatives. Around 75 participants attended the meeting. Special invitees included Prof Ram Rajshekharan, Director CFTRI, Prof. G. Padmnabhan, Emeritus Professor, IISc, Bangalore.
2.August 2, 2015 - Clinical Genetics and Prenatal Diagnosis for the practicing paediatrician. 50 paediatricians in training jointly with IGICH.
3.October 7 - 11, 2015 - Radiological and Clinical approach to the diagnosis of skeletal dysplasias and inherited bone disorders. The faculty included Professor Christine Hall, Great Ormond Street Hospital London, Dr Amaka Offiah, Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield and Prof. Sahar Mansour, St Georges' NHS Foundation Trust, London Dr. Meenakshi Bhat, CHG and others. 98 medical specialists attended from all over India with excellent feedback received about the course. An event support grant of Rs 5,00,000/- by Wellcome-DBT India Alliance was received for this meeting
4.January 23 - 24, 2016. Specialty Clinic on Gaucher Disease with UK specialists including Dr Ashok Vellodi, Tanya Colin-Hilsted and Helen Whitehead (European Gaucher Association) and Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw also attended the meeting.

During the period under review there were two Epidermolysis Bullosa clinics was conducted at the Centre (August 13 and November 21, 2015). This is a unique programme involving families of EB patients, dermatologists, clinicians, scientists and care givers. The programme also involved some activities for children with EB and interaction of EB patients with doctors.
